This review of journal abstracts gives an overview of the currently available toric and multifocal toric IOLs along with their results and complications. Now, we have multifocal toric IOLs which provide spectacle independence not only for distance vision but also for near and intermediate vision. They offer patients the opportunity to correct corneal astigmatism at the time of cataract surgery and achieve spectacle independence for distance vision. Toric pseudophakic intraocular lenses (IOLs) are increasingly used in cataract surgery.
